Whether you are a medium-sized company or a global player: in a world in which our society and markets are changing ever faster, we need excellently trained managers who can not only keep pace with this development, but also anticipate it and prepare their company for it. The tasks are many and varied. They need to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitalization, take into account the desire of young employees for modern working models, step up the search for skilled workers in an ageing society and overcome global challenges such as climate change, migration and trade wars. Tomorrow's managers will have to keep an eye on all of this, coordinate it and manage it on a daily basis. Targeted training forms the foundation for this, which is both scientifically sound and practice-oriented - as in the part-time Management and Leadership course at htw saar.

Our Master's degree course in Management and Leadership is the only continuing education Master's degree course in business administration in Saarland that is very close to practice. After all, talented future managers learn from lecturers and university teachers who have worked or are working in business themselves for many years - from HR officers in a large corporation to sales managers in retail and department heads with management responsibility in logistics to IT experts.

We teach future managers to think in complex and networked structures, to lead brands successfully and teams in a socially competent manner, to manage conflicts and to recognize challenging situations as opportunities. In our generalist Master's degree, we also teach advanced skills in areas such as business valuation, strategic and international management, change management and data management. We also teach social skills such as presentation techniques, moderation and conflict management, leadership and communication. In this way, we optimally prepare our students today for the management responsibilities of tomorrow.

The Management and Leadership course deals with the following questions:

• How do you motivate, lead and retain employees in times of skills shortages?
• How can global challenges be broken down to the level of your own company and managed sustainably and successfully?
• How do you organize employees and processes in a company in a way that conserves resources as much as possible?
• What methods of team building and agile cooperation in teams are there and how can they be implemented?
