Applicants with a German university entrance qualification apply directly via the online application portal of the htw saar.

Applicants with foreign educational certificates must first apply for a preliminary examination documentation (VPD) via uni assist / an endorsement of recognition for the purpose of preliminary examination of their certificates. To the online application of uni assist:https://my.uni-assist.de/

Only with the VPD can the application be submitted via the online application portal of the htw saar.

If you have obtained your higher education entrance qualification in Luxembourg under Luxembourg law, you do not need a VPD. Apply directly via the htw saar application portal.

In the first step , your application will be formally checked by Student Services.

In the second step, the subject-specific assessment is carried out by the admissions committee.

Following the formal and subject-related assessment, the admission or rejection letters are issued and made available in the application portal.

The htw saar application portal for applications for the summer semester opens at the beginning of December, for applications for the winter semester in May.

The application deadline for the summer semester is January 15, for the winter semester July 15.

Some of our Master's degree programs are also offered in the summersemester.

An upload of your German university entrance qualification in the application portal is sufficient for the application.

Applicants with foreign educational certificates must submit theirforeign university entrance qualification in theoriginal language. In addition,we require a translation of the foreign university entrance qualificationinto German or English.

You must upload your degree certificate from your first degree program in the online application.

If your degree certificate is not yet available at the time of application, please submit a current transcript of recordsstating your current average grade.

The transcript of records is particularly important for your Master's application. Among other things, it serves as proof of subject knowledge, grades and performance progress.

We require an official transcript of records from your university.

You will need a current and complete curriculum vitaein tabular form.

If you are applying for a German-language degree program, you must provide proof of German language proficiencyatlevel C1.

Prospective students with a German, Luxembourg or Austrian university entrance qualification do not need to provide proof of their German language skills.

Please note the relevant requirements of the respective degree program!

Proof of English language proficiencyis required for the following Master's degree programs:

• International Management (recognized proof of English C1 level and German B1 level)
• Neural Engineering (recognized proof of English B2 level)

We have to document all your periods of study in Germany .

A current certificate of enrollment is usually sufficient for this. Certificates of exmatriculation (if you are no longer enrolled) are also accepted.

In order to be able to track your periods of study abroad, we needofficial prooffrom the university. Please submit these documents in the original languageand atranslationinto German or English.

Depending on the Master's degree program, language certificates, letters of motivation or other documents may be required in addition to the regular documents to be submitted.

Applicants who have obtained a school or university degree inChina,IndiaorVietnamneed acertificate from the respective Academic Evaluation Center (APS).

The APS certificate must be submitted to both uni assist and htw saar.

You can apply for a maximum of one Master's degree program.

Many prospective students do not yet have their Bachelor's degree by the application deadline. This is not a problem, as you can apply on the basis of a current transcript of records, which includes the ECTS points you have earned to date and your current average grade.

The same applies to applicants with foreign certificates. Submit the final transcript of records to uni assist.

The module description is used to assess your academic performance and to check your subject knowledge.

For the following degree programs, externalapplicants must submit module descriptions with their application:

• Accounting, auditing and finance
• Supply Chain Management
• Marketing Science

In principle, you can apply for a Master's degree program at htw saar with a foreign university degree. Whether your degree is recognized in Germany and whether the content requirements are met must be checked by uni assist, the admissions office and the selection committee on the basis of your application documents.

Your foreign grade will be converted accordingly by uni assist and shown on the preliminary examination documentation (VPD).

You may be able to prove two different things with one document: for example, you can upload your high school diploma as proof of "university entrance qualification" and also use it as proof of language proficiency for some degree programs. In this case, upload the certificate in addition to the "Language certificates" query.

We will correct any incorrect information in the database as soon as we check your online application. It is not necessary to delete the application and submit a new one.

Notification of admission will be sent once the admissions committee has completed its examination of your application. As soon as a decision has been made, you will receive an email stating that the decision is available in your application portal under "Documents" in the "My decisions" section.

In the first step , your application is formally checked by Student Services.

In the second step, the subject-specificassessment is carried out by the admissions committee.

In the third step, the notification is issued. You can now access your notification in the application portal under "Documents" in the "My notifications" section.
