Applicants without a higher education entrance qualification who do not belong to one of the groups listed above can be admitted to a trial course at htw saar under certain conditions and may subsequently receive a subject-specific higher education entrance qualification.
1. prerequisite
Anyone who, at the time of application, has
- has successfully passed a final examination with a qualified result (grade 2.5 or at least 80 points in the final vocational examination) in a relevant recognized training occupation with a regular training period of at least 2 years,
- has worked full-time for at least two years in the learned or a related profession and
- can provide evidence of the language skills required for the course.
2. duration
The trial course lasts at least two semesters and can last up to four semesters depending on the standard period of study (in part-time courses, the trial course is extended accordingly).
3. aptitudeassessment
The applicant applies to htw saar for an aptitude assessment after two semesters of trial studies at the earliest, submitting the transcripts of records.
The aptitude is determined if at least two thirds of the study and examination achievements / 40 ECTS have been successfully proven in accordance with the study and examination regulations.
